My Resin Pour Notes

Here are my notes for resin pouring – so I can recall where I sourced my materials and what colours I used to make my ocean, beach, and marble resin art.

Tools & Materials

From Art Tree Creations:

  • Hexagonal primed art board (Art Boards Australia)
  • Hexagonal MDF boards  
  • Square MDF coasters (4.75mm thick)
  • Atelier Liquid Gesso Primer & sponge brush
  • Paddle sticks & plastic cups

From Just Resin:

  • DiamondCote 2-part resin
  • Epoxy pigment pastes
  • Metallic powder pigment

From Bunnings:

  • Monarch 1.5 x 1.5m Leak-Proof Canvas Drop Sheet
  • Nitrile gloves 
  • Respirator

Other:

  • Heat gun (from ebay)
  • Jam jar (to prop up artboard)
  • Plastic basin (to cover artwork from dust while curing)
  • Aluminum foil / Baking paper (to collect resin drips)
  • Scale (to measure resin)
  • Sand paper (to smooth off corners of boards)
  • Mica powder

Colour pigments

  • Turquoise Luster epoxy paste (Just Resin)
  • Navy Blue epoxy paste (Just Resin)
  • Titanium White epoxy paste (Just Resin)
  • Gold mica powder
  • Turquoise Luster epoxy paste (Just Resin)
  • Navy Blue epoxy paste (Just Resin)
  • Titanium White epoxy paste (Just Resin)
  • Honeyed Beige mica powder (Aussie Soap Supplies)
  • Aqua Pearl mica powder (Aussie Soap Supplies)
  • Rich Gold metallic powder pigment (Just Resin)
  • Titanium White epoxy paste (Just Resin)
  • Black Lustre mica powder (Aussie Soap Supplies)

  • Turquoise Luster epoxy paste (Just Resin)
