After trying out a few BabyLock cardigan patterns in a previous post, I revisited the V-neck version and made a few adjustments based on what I learned.
This is a quick follow-up on my third attempt at Babylock’s V‑neck Boa Cardigan Pattern, continuing on from my earlier, more detailed post:
For this one, I used 1m of Homecraft Textile’s terry cotton paired with leftover ribbing from Spotlight.
I kept the original pattern mostly intact, except for reducing the cuff circumference by about 6 cm since I was using rib fabric. I tested the fit around my wrist before attaching it, which worked well.

I like the wide ribbing around the V‑neck; it gives the cardigan a classy, polished finish.

Next time I’d probably:
- Extend the vertical front ribbing to match the full length of the cardigan so it can be sewn on without stretching. Stretching it caused the finished front edge to look slightly wavy, even with stretchy ribbing fabric.
- Shorten the hem ribbing slightly when using rib knit so it sits closer to the body and creates a cleaner, more fitted look.
- Add a gentle outwards curve to the back hem, making the center back a bit longer.
