Inspired by the colours of blue agate, this melt & pour soap layers beautiful blues and milky white to create a gentle, crystal‑like finish.

A 100g silicone mold gives it its gemstone shape, but you can easily recreate the look with a standard rectangular mold and a little trimming.

How to make blue crystal soap

Melt 40g of clear soap base. Add 1 drop blue pigment and 5 drops fragrance or essential oil.
Pour into the mold and wait ’til it hardens.
Melt 8g white soap base and pour on top of the blue layer.

When the white layer starts to harden, poke it gently with a chopstick or fork.
This makes the separation of the two layers less distinct, and also makes the surface bumpy.
Place the mold on a slight slant and pour 20g of blue soap mixed with fragrance.

Melt 40g clear soap base. Add 1 drop blue pigment and 4 drops fragrance or essential oil.
Optionally mix in gold mica powder and pour into the mold.
Once your soap has fully hardened, unmold it and admire the layered blues and soft white veining. The finished bar has such a pretty, agate‑inspired look — and it sparkles beautifully whenever the light catches it. It’s a simple melt & pour project with a surprisingly elegant result, perfect for gifting or displaying (and using) in the bathroom.
