Totoro Bookmark: Mini Perler Beads Diary

I love functional Perler art. And I love Totoro. So this was no coincidence 😉

I made this totoro bookmark for my book worm friend, but it was so cute, I ended up making one for myself too. (I don’t read many novels, but I read a lot of manga – they count as books, right?)

Pattern & Beads list

There are several mini bead options around, including Mini Hamma beads, Nano beads, and Mini Perler beads; I used Mini Perler beads.

The colours I used (in Perler colours) were Sky Blue, White, Grey, Black, and Brown. Below is the bead count.

White50
Sky Blue137
Brown19

For a personalisation touch, I added an initial to the top of the bookmarks – these cross stitch alphabets served as good references.

After the beads are fused, simply loop through a ribbon or a suede lace through the gap.

You can also reference the pattern for your next pixel art, dot craft, or cross stitch project. Please use the pattern for personal use only (unless you have permission from Studio Ghibli 🙂 ).

Pin this for later:
